Sign Off Post - 2017

Im gonna miss all friends and I my teacher Miss O'Brien. I hope I am in a class with alot of people, so yeah :). I'm going to be going down to Otaki for the first 2 weeks then I am going to be going back up to Hicks bay for the rest of the holiday. My goals for next year are simple listen, don't get suspended, be nice to people and get good reports.I also want to get involved in a lot more things and also I want to do Kapa Haka again. I had so much fun in room 10. I loved going to timbernook.

Wow Duane Kale is such an inspiration to us all.  If you dont know who Duane Kayle is he is the three time Paralympic gold medallist and  Vice President of the International Paralympic Committee. Duane never gave up... guess that's good because if he did then he wouldn't be were he is now 3 gold medals and the vice president of the International Paralympic Committee. Daune is also Ella K cousins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!





   

Puberty ( come read )

Well puberty again yay ... not, but this year it was more into detail YUCK! oh well everyone goes through it and that is why I decided to do a blog post about it no shame in that. If I were to take a class about puberty I would make the question box optional, and I would also  get the people to give a reflection on the lesson that we have bo on that day. But puberty was actual fun no matter how gross it sounded it was fun.

Term 3 Highlights and Reflection

Yay term 3 is over... holidays... maccas... sleep... friends and most of all FOOD!. But I have to say that term 3 has been quite interesting so far ups and downs twist and turns, curves and swerves. In the last 2 weeks of school we have been learning about puberty, social dance practice because our actual social dance is coming up this thursday. This term has been my favourite term this year, I can't wait till next term but really ( I can ).

End of term reflection

lime Battery

We wanted to see how a battery worked. We put zinc nail and a piece of copper into a lime and connected to a volt meter.
1 Banana=1 volt
1 Lime=0.95 volts 
2 Limes=1.96 volts
3 Limes= 2.9 volts and it lit up a LED

So does it depend on the size of the lime?
What if I put more nails and copper in?
Can I use different metals? 
Can you put more wires in? Yes

Diagram

Yesterday for writing we had to make a diagram and label the picture. Me and Kennedy did a house with a BBQ in the front yard. It was quit easy but we had to finish it under 30 mins and i also had to add the fence,sky, grass, BBQ and the labels. Also every diagram has to have 3 things the title, picture that you are doing your diagram on and the labels.
 

Spaghetti Tower

Yesterday we done a tech thing. We got given a number with a card on it and I had to find other people with the same number as me. In my team I had Gio, Paige, Ashely and me. With our group we had to make a tall tower out of marshmallows and spaghetti, and who ever's tower was the biggest won a award (not)  . We had got given 5 minutes of planning and 20 minutes of createing. With in the 5 minutes our team came up with 4 ideas. We started with our 1st plan but an other team had the same idea. At the end we came up with an idea that we hadn't thought of, and that is what made as come third. It was so fun.

Sign Language

today we had sign language. It was awesome because we got to play a game it was sort of about traffic lights, it was also quit hard. then we came back in to the library and then we learnt how to say our names, my name was pretty hard. the first time I had to try do my name was with Shamus, then  do it with Kennedy. We also learnt how to say thank you, please, nice to meet you, what's your name and also learnt how  to say colours and animals in sign language.       IT WAS SO FUN!!!!!

Sharkopus

Yesterday we had to create a animal that was crossed with another animal. Both my animals are sea animals. The animal that I have created is a shark crossed with and octopus a Sharkopus.

Quad Death

For PE one day we played a game called Quad Death. We played the game with room 11 and room 12. It was a blast.

      Hear

• I couldn’t hear the person next to me
• Rain
• Drummers wacking like birds.

• Heard the vibrations in their face

We sat down and the strike group started to play the drums then all I called hear where the vibrations in the ground, from all the banging and it was also making my butt vibrate. You called even fell the your hands on the ground, but only if you were in the front it was pretty cool. Once  they had finished the first act they were sweating like hell. After that I felt wide awake.

For there second act it was this rainforest song which I forgot the name to. We had to make it sound at least like it was raining so we could play the game. I could see a lot of people smiling from this performance. It wasn't as loud as the first act though.Then jimdo went back onto the drums and then that is when it got loud again. I HOPE THEY CAME BACK NEXT YEAR, I LOVED IT.

Inquary week 7

room 10 crab soccer

It was raining during room 10 PE time so we went to the hall and done same relays like the wheelbarrow race and some other ones. At the end of the relays the two teams that tied together had to compete against each other. once we finished the relays we done same crab soccer it was so fun, and the BOYS WON YAY!!!

My Dream Ice Cream

My dream ice cream well that would be hard because’ of course I love ice cream. But my favorite ice cream would no no no my dream ice cream would be this...

The cone would have to made out of mint cause I love the mint trumpet mint is my life, anyway back to the dream ice cream. The cone would made out of mint that would not melt. It would have chocolate at the tips of it and the bottom of it.

I BETTER TASTE NICE!!!!

Now for the actually ice cream. Hhhhhmmmm the ice cream um it would have to be 6 scoops not 1,2,3,4 or 5 it must be 6!!!!. Any way it would have to be made out of mint swirls salted chocolate with a hint of strawberry that is the first 2 scoops now 4 more to go there will be a salted caramel hokey pokey orange and chocolate chip and cookies n cream. Now that is the ice cream.

Sprinkles

For sprinkles I would have chocolate chip button and 100s and 1000s on top with a flake.

AND THAT IS MY DREAM ICE CREAM.

What Are Room 10's Super Powers?

This week we were challenged to think about how we could be a helpful citizen in Room 10 and what super powers we could use? If we are going to have a fantastic year, it is crucial we help each other out in times of need, when asked and by using our initiative.
